Are sports bras good for bigger breasts? This is a question we bigger-busted active women looking for quality sports bras for our large breasts ask ourselves all the time. Finding the best sports bra for running is no joke. A supportive sports bra for high impact exercises is nearly as important, if not more important than the shoes we put on our feet for our next long-distance run. Let’s talk about the best running bras for large breasts that are supportive, comfortable, and even affordable.

How do I support my breasts while running?
Every larger busted woman knows that a good running sports bra starts with high impact support. I’ve always struggled to find my perfect unicorn bra. You know, the sports bra that is supportive without sacrificing comfort, and actually cute.
I have yet to truly find my ~perfect~ sports bra, which is why I started my own high impact sports bra company. You can read all about that venture here. But, I have found some really great sports bras I’d actually recommend to my fellow D+ cup size gals. Let’s talk bras!

Best Running Bras for Large Breasts
1. Best High Impact Sports Bra For DD
If you keep up with me, you won’t be shocked to hear that I am a big fan of Lululemon’s high impact sports bras for large breasts. You won’t catch me spending $100+ on a pair of leggings, but I will always spurge on a good bra because they’re worth it.
The lululemon Energy Bra High Support, B–DDD Cups is one of my favorite high impact sports bras.
I love the full coverage design of this bra, the creative and functional criss-cross straps, the thick shoulder straps, and the hook and eye feature in the back of the sports bra.
I also think this sports bra for DD+ cup sizes is such a good price at just $58, before a sale! That’s honestly cheap for a high quality, high impact sports bra that’s this good.
I did a full review of this sports bra a couple months back on my YouTube channel. You can check that out here.
I also reviewed Lululemon’s Run Times Bra High Support, B–G Cups. Spoiler alert: both bras were supportive, but I totally loved the lululemon Energy Bra High Support, B–DDD Cups wayyy better.
2. Best Running Sports Bra for Saggy Breasts – I Cup Size
If you have a large chest and saggy breasts, I feel your pain. Gravity certainly is not kind to bigger busted ladies like us. Lucky for you, they make sports bras for women who need just a little extra lift. SheFit’s Ultimate Sports Bra fits a band size up to 56 inches wide and an I cup size. Yes, 56 inches!! For reference, the average band size in America is 34 inches. That’s AMAZING!

Not only are their bras highly customizable, they also use a patented Zip. Cinch. Lift® adjustability with 1.25 inch straps and the entire strap length for adjustability.
You can check out a full review of this sports bra on my YouTube channel for the good, the bad, and the ugly. Like I said, no bra is perfect, right?
3. The Most Comfortable Running Sports Bra – Highly Rated
I’d be shocked if you said you hadn’t seen a Facebook advertisement the knix Catalyst Sports Bra. This sports bra has over 5,000 4.6 stars and a lot of bigger busted women agree that it’s comfortable and supportive – something that’s really hard to find for bigger busted women like us.

This sports bra retails at $89, but you can catch it on sale in the low $70s on a good day. I love the simplistic design, curved underband, adjustable straps, and hook-and-eye feature on the back of this sports bra.
Let’s let the reviews speak for themselves:

This sports bra is pretty expensive, but sadly, as bigger busted women, you have to put a hefty penny down for a quality bra. I think the features of this bra alone would make it worth the investment.
You can check out the knix Catalyst Sports Bra here.
4. An Underwire Sports Bra for Large Breasts We Actually Like
Alright, I’ll be the first to admit I absolutely despise underwire bras. I have a short torso, large breasts, and I’m only 5 foot 4 inches. I find that underwire bras end up sitting on my stomach most of the day. BUT, if you like an underwire sports bra, and you’re a little taller than me, women are raving about the Brooks Dare Underwire Run Bra for big busts.

See for yourself:

The only thing that worries me about this sports bra is the lack of a self-strap structure. Meaning, the elastic is raw on the shoulders rather than being encapsulated by the material of the sports bra, which adds extra comfort and support.
Some women have complained about the straps of this sports bra, but overall, the reviews are positive. I love the full coverage look, the curved underband, and the adjustability this bra offers. If you’re looking for an underwire sports bra, this might be worth looking into.
5. The Most Affordable Running High Support Sports Bras
Alright, I’ll be honest. I’m totally biased towards the lululemon Energy Bra High Support, B–DDD Cups. But, if I had to choose another amazing and affordable running high support sports bra from Lululemon, it would be the AirSupport Bra High Support, C–DDD Cups.
It is about $10 more expensive than the Energy Bra, but I personally think when you’re shopping for sports bras, you should aim to spend at least $50 for a quality sports bra, and no more than $90-$100 per bra. If you can catch a sports bra on sale, even better! I personally think $60-$70 is the sweet spot for sports bras.
Ideally, we’d all like to pay less, but at those price points, you are almost guaranteed a great sports bra, especially from trusted brands like Lululemon.
I love the color options this bra has to offer, the Ultralu™ fabric for a flexible, lightweight internal structure, and the thick strap design.
There you have it! Which sports bra will be your next best running bra? There are so many brands to choose from when it comes to sports bras. My best tip is to not be afraid to try out new brands, especially if they offer free shipping, and always take your measurements before buying a bra.
Believe it or not, our boobs fluctuate a lot. It’s important our bras can support us in our current stage of life. Knowing your correct bra size will help you find the best sports bra for you – whether that’s for comfort, high impact support, affordability, or a little bit of everything.
